THE STORYTELLER
Two decades of creating music, stories, performances, and cultural experiences that leave a lasting impact.
LYRICIST | POET | ACTOR | CULTURAL CURATOR
Mason Parker is more than an artist. He is a presence. A Carolina-grown creative with more than two decades in entertainment, Parker blends hip-hop, spoken word, theater, and storytelling to create performances and cultural experiences that are meant to be felt as much as they are heard.

A true multi-hyphenate, Parker is a lyricist, poet, actor, writer, and cultural curator whose work draws inspiration from the performance brilliance of Michael Jackson and the lyrical depth of Tupac Shakur and Langston Hughes. His career began in Charlotte's underground spoken word and hip-hop scenes, where his commanding delivery and thoughtful storytelling quickly set him apart.

Over the course of his career, Parker has released multiple projects, including two full-length studio albums. His most recent release, Canon Event, features acclaimed actor and poet Malcolm-Jamal Warner and continues Parker's tradition of blending introspective storytelling with cinematic sound. A special guest on Talib Kweli's "Gutter Rainbows" Tour, Mason's work has appeared on platforms including BET Jams, BET Music Matters, and Revolt TV, with additional placements across television and film including HBO Max, FOX Sports' NFL programming, and Comedy Central.

A LEGACY BEYOND THE SPOTLIGHT
Recognized for his impact on Charlotte's creative culture, Parker was named Charlotte's Best Rapper by Creative Loafing and Male Hip-Hop Artist of the Year at the Queen City Awards.
Beyond music, Parker's work spans stage and screen with performances alongside companies including 3 Bone Theatre, Children's Theatre of Charlotte, C.A.S.T. Productions, and Fred Forte Jr. Productions. One of the highlights of his acting career was portraying "Griot" in Miles & Coltrane: Blue during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Whether performing, hosting conversations, or curating creative spaces, Parker uses storytelling to explore resilience, spirituality, mental health, fatherhood, and personal transformation. His work invites audiences into moments of reflection, connection, and cultural dialogue.
